Session 2

Session 2: Methods, tools and reflections

How we study cultural expressions using digital tools and how we study digital cultures are issues that require a constant rebalancing of questions such as what is possible, what is desirable, what is it we actually find and how do we report it. This section welcomes submissions regarding tools, methods and general reflections on both approaches, such that study natively digital expressions and cultures with adapted methods and such that focus on computer-supported methods for studying originally non-digital artifacts, cultural phenomena and expressions. The spectrum ranges from  corpus and databases, visualisation, 3d documentation and so forth, via web analyses or webometry to also include various qualitative approaches such as online ethnography, online interviewing and such like. (These are just examples) Showcases, demonstrations and meta-reflections are particularly encouraged, but we are open to all kinds of submissions.
